M3 Technical Services (Pty) Ltd is a 100% black-owned company which was founded on the concept of providing competent technical services to the mining, manufacturing and industrial sectors. The company focuses on consulting services as their core business, with associated project development, execution and operation.
The company was founded in 2014 by Ms. Mpai Motloung on the back of their years combined experience in the mining industry. While the founders focus is on providing quality geoscientific consulting services, some of the other core focuses areas are women empowerment, innovation in solving the country’s major problems using low-cost solutions and equity ownership.
The company’s key sectors are mining, green energy and manufacturing. The competency disciplines include geology, metallurgy, process engineering, mining engineering, chemical engineering, environmental management, social development, enterprise development and financial valuation. The company is capable of providing a holistic business development service offering throughout the entire value chain.

Ms. Motloung has more than 10 years of diverse experience in the mining industry which includes consulting, operational, planning, reporting, risk assessment, business analysis and project development. She is a qualified geologist with post-graduate qualifications in Business Management and Mining Engineering. She is also a Competent Person as prescribed by various internationally recognised reporting codes
Her extensive experience was gained by employment at notable mining industry companies such as Mintek, Venmyn and National Empowerment Fund. Her experience in an Executive position at a Junior Black Owned Emerging Miner provides a unique, all-rounded capability to provide technical advisory, planning, operational, capital raising, project development and business strategy services.
Ms. Motloung has been involved in lucrative mining transactions including the listing of Miranda Coal’s assets on the JSE, Sylvania Platinum’s assets on the JSE and ASX Stock Exchanges, the sale of Harmony Gold’s Evander assets to Pan African Resources, Involvement in non-mining related industries include Link Africa (Telecomunications), Underground Property Ventures (Underground Clean Energy Plant), Rare Metals Industries (Beneficiation), Thin Film Solar Transmitters (Solar Panel Manufacturing) and FIS Biofuels (Petrochemical Plant).
